Getting to the Red Cones

To reach the Red Cones, take the  Mammoth Pass - Red’s Meadow Trail for approximately 500 feet until it forks left, becoming the  Mammoth Pass Cutoff Trail. Take this trail for 1.9 miles until forking right on the  Red Cones Cutoff Trail, which leads to the Red Cones and surrounding meadow as it links up with the  John Muir Trail.
