Setsuko Saito Higuchi Memorial Walking Tour Interpretive Trail

Short Path Showing Internment Camp Layout
Interpretive Trail on Lateral H-103 in Rocky Mountains near Ralston, WY
The Setsuko Saito Higuchi Walking Tour is a short paved path at the site of the WWII Heart Mountain Internment Camp. As it loops through a small grassy field it highlights the location of where the different elements of the camp were. Only several ruins remain - one is the Boiler House Chimney.
The walk is part of the Heart Mountain Relocation Center Memorial Park, which includes a memorial to the 10000+ Japanese Americans who were interned at Heart Mountain and also the more than 750 interns that left the camp to join the US Armed Forces.
For more history, go to the nearby Heart Mountain Interpretive Center.
