Moose Falls is a beautiful waterfall just off the highway at the
South Entrance
of
Yellowstone National Park
. It’s hidden from the road, but is a couple-minute, easy-walk-to view. Moose Falls was named in 1885 by the Hague Survey after the Moose fauna. Sometimes it is called "Crawfish Falls", as the somewhat warm thermal water supports crawfish.

Moose Falls (height 30 feet (9.1 m)) is a plunge type waterfall on Crawfish Creek in Yellowstone National Park. The waterfall was named in 1885 by members of the Arnold Hague Geologic Survey for the plentiful moose found in the southern sections of the park.
