Bridal Veil Falls

Highest Waterfall in Colorado
Waterfall on Bridal Veil Creek in Uncompahgre NF, Rocky Mountains near Telluride, CO
If you’re visiting Telluride this is must-do hike right outside of town. Many people with off road vehicles can drive up to the falls, but it’s a great walk along a forest road with big views of the valley to the west and the rock faces to the east. At the top there’s an old hydro power station which was one the first of its kind in the US. The trail continues up to some higher elevation lakes.

Hiking and off-road trails pass by the falls and it has a hydroelectric power plant at its top. In winter the frozen shape of the falls forms an imposing challenge to intrepid ice climbers.
