Devil's Canyon (D3)

Devil's Canyon (D3)
Hiking
Starting Place:
Devils Canyon Trailhead
Devil’s Canyon is a system of trails around the canyon of the same name. My intention was to take D3 which goes up the canyon itself but the signing for D3 is poor and I first took a deviation on D1. Access to all the ‘D’ trails is at the parking lot for the D1 trailhead, D3 forks off to the left about a mile in at the first geology sign by the trail, the D3 trail is obvious but unsigned. A bit further up D1 there is another unsigned fork that goes down the canyon wall to D3 but it is easily missed.
The trail climbs the benches on either side of the canyon, which obviously has some pretty good flash floods. The cabin is right at the end of the loop section, be sure to sign the book inside.
