Just west of the Tracy Trail one can view the Foster, Conway, and Lion Lakes complex across the canyon of Cub Wallow. The Tracy Trail is very steep and although a short hike to the divide of Poison Canyon, it is a slow go. The amazing views of Ycatapom Peak and Lily Pad Lake, Thumb Rock and the entire canyon is a refreshing reward for the intrepid adventurer who is willing to take the road less traveled. Access to the trail can be obtained by either proceeding south from Boulder Lake along the east shoreline about 1.5 miles, or from the Lily Pad Lake junction in Poison Canyon climbing north about the same distance. Recommended for either advanced hikers or for anyone with enough stamina for the journey. This is a very steep trail and footing can be tricky - so, make sure you’re wearing appropriate support for the trek!
