Enchanted Forest Trail
Tree Covered "jungle" Hike with Lots of (Uphill) Climbing and adventure

This is such a beautiful hike on a well kept trail. The top viewpoint does not lend much of a viewpoint, but the hike itself was very pretty and had lots of variation to keep us interested. The trail is quite consistently up-hill with steeper and moderate sections. The forested area has huge oaks and pines and the shapes of the tree’s are fun with long tangling arms and mossy bodies… hence the name of the hike. We had some fun parkour pitstops on fallen tree’s.
We hiked this on a lovely February day, I’d love to hike it again in the Spring as the description says it has a lot of wild flowers, and again in the Summer as it has a lot of tree coverage. So I will try to update this year when we go again.
This was our first time hiking this trail and we were pretty happy with it overall. Our group consisted of 4-years to adult all at capable hiking skill. Both our families like to hike. New hikers might find the constant climbing / uphill to be a challenge.
The trail says it is biker and horse friendly. We got to say hello to two horseback hikers which was fun for the kids.
There was also a family Geo-Caching up there too so there are caches around. Our Apple watches showed more elevation gain than the hike description lead us to believe, but we survived. ;)
The top, again, barely has a viewpoint as it’s still densely in the tree’s but I wouldn’t have them cut the forest down just to see the valley. I’ve uploaded our collection of images with the kids having fun. The 4 kids in a shadowy cluster is a shot of the top outlook.
