Lower South Brackett Trailhead

Mix of Logging Roads and Trails Near Bridger Bowl
Trailhead on South Fork Brackett Trail in Gallatin NF, Rocky Mountains near Bozeman, MT
South Fork Brackett Trail #539 is an excellent hiking trail in the summer and nordic trail in the winter. From the trailhead, it heads south and eventually meets up with Bridger Bowl Ski Area and the Bohart Ranch Cross XC-Ski trails.
To get to the trailhead, take a sharp left onto FS 631 when the highway splits with Bracket Creek Road. The road that goes on to the Upper Brackett Trailhead is only open June 16–October 14 each year.
