Beartooth Lake Trailhead

Access to Numerous High-Altitude Lakes
Trailhead on Beartooth Lake, Little Bear Creek in Shoshone NF, Rocky Mountains near Cooke City, WY
Beartooth Lake Trailhead provides access to Beauty Lake Trail #621 and Trail #619. Get here by turning off to Beartooth Lake Campground and follow the dirt road until it reaches the lake shore.
Trail #619:
Keep left along the eastern marshy shore of Beartooth Lake. There also is an unofficial trail that splits north and follows the eastern side of the creek up to Crane Lake. 
Beauty Lake Trail #621:
Keep right where the trail splits near the trailhead to reach Beauty Lake after 1.5 to 2 miles of walking uphill through the trees. The trail continues to meet the High Lakes Trail and the north end of Beauty Lake.
