One of the more controversial trails around the Bozeman, for the health risks associated with asbestos. In the 1930’s asbestos production at the
Karst Asbestos Mine
peaked at about 1,800 tons per year. As long as you don’t go digging around the mining site, the Forest Service says the trail is safe.
