On Wikipedia
Luck Peak State Park is a state park in Ada County, Idaho, United States, located around Lucky Peak Lake, created 62 years ago in 1955 by the construction of Lucky Peak Dam. Just east of Boise, the park has three units; its Discovery Park off State Highway 21 is a roadside park with picnic tables, shelters, and opportunities for fishing in the Boise River. The nearby Sandy Point unit is at the base of the dam, and has a sandy beach with calm water for wading and swimming. At the northern end of the lake, the Spring Shores unit has two boat ramps and a marina.
