Brink of the Lower Falls is a spectacular viewpoint located on the edge of cliff where the
Yellowstone River
dumps into the
Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
. On sunny days the sunlight often creates a rainbow in the mist of the falls. Although the trail involves many switchbacks that are grueling on the way back up to the parking area, it is well worth the effort. Expect to spend an hour going down to the falls and back. The trail is roughly a half mile each way.
