Lake in Shoshone NF, High Lakes WSA, Rocky Mountains near Cooke City, WY

Crane Lake is one of the many beautiful, small lakes in the Beartooth Mountains. The Beauty Lake Trail passes by the eastern side of the lake roughly 1.5 miles from the Beartooth Lake Trailhead. An unofficial trail passes several campsites as it follows the southern shore and then loops back to Beartooth Lake by following the creek at the outlet of the lake.
