Grove of The Patriarchs Trail

Boardwalk Through an Ancient and Towering Grove
Interpretive Trail on Ohanapecosh River in Mt. Rainier NP, Cascade Range near Packwood, WA
After parking just north of the Stevens Canyon Entrance Station, take the Eastside Trail approximately 0.3 miles to the suspension bridge. There you’ll cross onto an island of the Ohanapecosh River and continue on boardwalks for a short stroll through this ancient forest. 
The Grove of the Patriarchs contains Western red-cedar, Douglas-fir, and Western hemlock trees as old as 1000 years and as tall as 300 feet.
