Three Forks Formation - Yellow and greenish-gray shale and dolomitic siltstone. Jefferson Formation - Fetid brown dolomite and limestone. Beartooth Butte Formation - Red sandstone, limy siltstone, and limestone. Occurs only in the Beartooth Mountains.
