The Southern Limestone/Dolomite Valleys And Low Rolling Hills ecoregion is a lowland characterized by broad, undulating, fertile valleys that are extensively farmed. Sinkholes, underground streams, and other karst features have developed on the underlying limestone/dolomite, and as a result, the drainage density is low. Where streams occur, they tend to have gentle gradients, plentiful year around flow, and distinctive fish assemblages. Crestal elevations vary from 1,640 to 3,200 feet (500-975 m). Local relief typically ranges from 150 to 500 feet (46-152 m).
