Cabin Ruin

Mud-Chinked Cabin in Small Hollow

on Slip and Slide Creek in Gallatin NF, Rocky Mountains near Miner, MT

This small cabin ruin is located in a small hollow next to Slip and Slide Creek. Who constructed it and the date of construction is unknown – although it could be related to the famed "Uncle Joe" Brown – a prospector known for his success near Jardine (Bear Creek Gulch) in the mid to late 1800’s. On site there’s what appears to be the remnants of an old corral.
