Hootentown Natural Arch

Historic Alcove Arch in Limestone Bluff

“Inman’s Arch”, “James River Natural Arch”

Arch on James River on Ozark Plateau near Hurley, MO

Speculated to be one of the largest natural arches in Missouri, Hootentown Arch spans an impressive 80 feet with a height of roughly 60 feet [1]. The arch was used to promote the railroad travel on the Frisco Railroad to the The Ozark Uplift in the beginning of the 1900’s [2].
