Cameraria caryaefoliella is a moth of the family Gracillariidae. It is known from Quebec, Canada, and the United States (including Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Kentucky, New York, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Pennsylvania).The wingspan is 6–7 mm. Adults are small and have reddish-orange forewings with three silvery-white bands. There are three generations per year.The larvae feed on Carya species (including Carya cordiformis, Carya glabra, Carya illinoinensis, Carya ovata and Carya tomentosa) and Juglans species (including Juglans cinerea and Juglans nigra). They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of an irregular, white blotch mine on the upperside of the leaf. Some are as large as 12–13 mm in diameter.
