O'Bannon Woods SP
Hiking
Starting Place:
O’Bannon Woods Horsemen’s South Day Use Trailhead
The hiking and biking trails at O’Bannon Woods are excellent. There’s great scenery and the trails are diverse. Unfortunately, a lot of the trails aren’t on the state park map. And many are still not on Natural Atlas. So figuring out where you’re going is adventuresome.
Some of the horse trails are not great for foot traffic. Others are just fine.
The bike/hike trail (Breeden Ridge) is fantastic! There’s excellent dirt buildups for banked turns and ramps along the portions we hiked. I’d be remiss to say I wish we had bikes with us.
I need to return and hike more of these trails. And map more of the trails!
