Began at welcome center and went north under the highway. Followed the paved Trail/boardwalk until a sand trail diverged and went along shoreline.  Eventually the trail ended and turned around and retraced path back to welcome center.

I saw the name Horse Tanks on the map and expected to find man made tanks like those for stock, but that’s not it all, these are natural reservoirs fed by a trickle of water.
