Lund Creek
Creek
in
St. Joe NF
,
Rocky Mountains
near
Avery

ID
The valley surrounding Lund Creek is breathtaking. There are a number of good camping spots just off the logging roads that run through the wilderness and standing deadwood abounds for camp fires. There aren’t much in the way of hiking trails but some game trails can be found. During the two weeks I’ve spent camping there (one in 2012 and one in 2014) we called to a few elk and saw a cow moose that came in for water within 50 yards of our camp. A bull moose was spotted within half a mile of Lund Creek on the logging road as well.
